Right Service, Right Time

On Monday, 16th March 2015 the Birmingham Safeguarding Children Board publishedthe refreshed threshold guidance “Right Service, Right Time”Delivering effective support for children and families in BirminghamThe framework provides everyone with clear advice about what to do and how to respond if a child and their family need extra support.  The new guidance takes account of the recent changes in partnership working with the creation of the MASH in July 2014 and the development of early help services including Local Family Support and Safeguarding Hubs.

Right Service Right Time Multi-Agency Training

An implementation plan was developed incorporating a comprehensive training programme for all frontline staff which will be delivered through their organisations, suplimented by the Birmingham Safeguarding Children Board multi-agency training for voluntary sector organisations. The training programme enables hands on experience in determining levels of need and understaning of how to access appropriate support based of than level of need.

Our aspiration is for Birmingham to be a city where all its professionals put the child at the centre of their planning, decision making and service delivery.
