School's Section 175 Audit Tools & Guidance
The new Safeguarding in Education audit for 2016/17 is now available online.
This will ask you for your details of your school. For Organisation you MUST use the DFE number for your school. Your email address will be your username. Below there is a user guide and technical specification for the web access you will require to access the tool properly. Once you have registered you will receive an email with a password this may take up to 48 hours depending on when you register.
When you go into the tool you will see a box titled Audits click on that and then on Allocated Audits and then you will have “Birmingham Section 175 audit” click on that. You will see boxes with titles of each of the separate areas of the tool click on the area you wish to update and start answering the questions by clicking on the questions. You can add an action when you come to the end of the question.
The safeguarding audit is designed to help you as a school to develop your safeguarding practice within school. So please ensure where you have identified areas for improvement that you have an action to improve that area in your school.
