Training & Development
Welcome to Birmingham Safeguarding Children Board - Learning & Development.
Purpose of Multi Agency Training
Multi agency training enables staff to work effectively both within their own agency and across organisational boundaries. The purpose of multi agency training is to help develop better outcomes for children and young people.
Role of Learning & Development Sub Group
The multi agency BSCB Learning & Development Sub Group is responsible for identifying workforce development.
This includes staff from the statutory and voluntary sector.
In order to meet the differing levels of learning and development needs across the range of agencies and staff roles the courses are targeted according to the level of contact with children and families and the level of responsibility for safeguarding children.
Please note: you need to have attended FCAF training (www.birmingham.gov.uk/caf) and your own Directorate’s Introduction to safeguarding (Target Group 1) and/or Child Protection for Managers (Target Group 2) before attending any Birmingham Safeguarding Children Board multi-agency course (This does not apply to Strengthening Families Framework and Serious Case Reviews or Conferences).
