Training & Development

Welcome to Birmingham Safeguarding Children Child Protection Training Programme for 2006 / 2008.

Purpose of Multi Agency Training

Multi agency training enables staff to work effectively both within their own agency and across organisational boundaries. The purpose of multi agency training is to help develop better outcomes for children and young people.

Role of Training Steering Group

The multi agency lscb training sub-group is responsible for identifying training needs, commissioning, delivering and evaluating training across three geographical areas of Birmingham:

  • Heart of Birmingham
  • Birmingham Eastern North
  • South Birmingham

This includes staff from the statutory and voluntary sector.

In order to meet the differing levels of training needs across the range of agencies and staff roles the courses are targeted according to the level of contact with children and families and the level of responsibility for safeguarding children.

We hope you find the training events calendar useful, information about the different courses on offer and how to book.
